BSc Nursing is an undergraduate medical course that focuses on teaching students the core concepts and values important for becoming a Nurse. The duration of the course is Four years. The program focuses on addressing the health needs of society and individual personnel. The course helps to develop thinking skills, competence, and standards required to perform the task of a Nurse.
A person who is injured or sick is taken care of by a nurse. Nurses help doctors while they treat patients and even after checkups when doctors are gone nurses are the ones who take care of the patients 24*7 until they become healthy again that’s why they are considered guardian angels. Doctors and healthcare workers can't treat patients without the help of nurses at some point nurses are important even for small things which is why they play a very important role.
Students shall be medically fit
Students shall be admitted only once a year.
The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which the student is going to take admission
10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English with an aggregate of 45% marks from a recognized board or other equivalent Board.
Students appearing in the 10+2 examination in science conducted by the National Institute of Open School with 45% marks
NEET - Students need to give NEET-UG to gain admission to BSc Nursing course
Candidates need to appear for the JENPAS exam for West Bengal BSc Nursing admission.
First check the eligibility criteria and if you fulfill all the eligibility criteria you are eligible to take admission
Then clear the entrance exam required for admission to BSc Nursing courses like NEET, and JENPAS-UG.
Then wait for the Result
Admission is based on marks scored in exams and on a merit basis.
Shortlisted candidates are called for counseling where they can choose their preferred course based on their rank and seat availability
Once the seat is allotted during counseling students need to complete admission formalities.
After you have completed the above-mentioned step it will result in admission to the BSc Nursing course in the institute of your choice

The scope of career as a BSc Nursing graduate is vast. One can explore career as a Nurse, Nursing supervisor/ward sister, Military nurse, etc. Bedside nursing one can also explore opportunities in Nursing homes, Oncology nurses, Armed Forces, Medical staff, old age homes, State Nursing Councils, Nursing Superintendents, Psychiatric nurses, supervisors, etc.
Freshers can earn around 10-15k per month while candidates with 2-3 years of experience can earn a salary that ranges between 25-30k per month.
